Teamsters Local 322 Endorses!

Teamsters Local 322 has endorsed Kenya Gibson for 3rd District City Council. This endorsement is the first by organized labor in this race and demonstrates the progressive, pro-worker momentum of the campaign.

"Kenya Gibson has proven herself to be a passionate fighter who has dedicated herself to helping those who she represents," said Brian Peyton, President of Teamsters Local 322.

“Richmond City and Public School workers who have organized with the Teamsters have demonstrated strength and tenacity in demanding a living wage and dignified working conditions. We support students when their parents and caretakers can put food on the table, we make our city functional when workers are paid a life sustaining wage, and we grow our economy when residents have the income to spend locally,” said Gibson, “I am honored to receive the Teamsters’ endorsement, and I know we will stand side by side as we organize for a fairer and better city.”
